3 min post

Well here my extremely fast attempt to get a post in with 3 minutes left on my tab!

So yeah I'm off to London, then to Maybe Bath..... Who knows, well I do but I'm not listening to myself, because I'm trying to type much faster then I can think or my fingers can actually move.

All in all Ireland was a very grand place, I hope to comeback with all of my buddys from back home so they can all enjoy the Guinness and girls.... So yes... lesss that a minute left, I better hit post before it kills me!

Not So Irish

At first I was worrying about not bringing any music with me. But quite frankly over here they play all my favorite hits from the 70's, 80's and early 90's! Well I really enjoy it, but I am slightly disappointed that the only place I can hear some good up and coming Irish Rock is as I walk by the random music shop they will have every few blocks. I actually hear a good bit of music I'd enjoy owning but when I think that I still have a good 7 months until I get to my own CD player the thought quickly passes.

The big highlight of my time in Ireland so far is not the untranslatable accent, or even the lower drinking age, but their idea of an American restaurant. Well they have plenty of BK's and McD's in fact I counted 4 of each all within walking distance in Dublin. But their are much more entertaining places like "Hill Billy's." Now a restaurant dedicated purely to fried food is of course my dream, but I take a slight offense to putting a restaurant of such glory to the social standing of "Hill Billy's", deep fryers are quite expensive and most hill billy's more then likely just wrap their meat in aluminum foil and toss it in the fire for a good bit.

PB&J

There is something about making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at a bus station that goes hand in hand with washing your laundry in a tiny bathroom sink. One is a lot more fun than the other.

So far I have eaten more PB&J sandwiches in the last few weeks than anything else. It's not a bad thing, but it's prolly not the best either. Why I say all this I really don't know.

Now washing your laundry in a tiny bathroom sink in a hostel is one of the worst things of all time. It makes that 5 euro laundry cost look really nice. I did the math and I have just about another week, maybe 8 days before I'll need more laundry. Whether this means I'll hand wash it again, or cough up the change is an entirely different question. Finding a Laundromat is not even half as easy as it is in the states, I swear every flat and house around here must have at least 3 sets of machines if they have such a massive influx of Laundromats.

Traveling alone is monotonous, but it also has it's advantages, the biggest of which is there is no one stopping you from doing completely stupid things that you consider to be an all and all good move in the end. Disadvantages include the utter lack of companionship.

Hello again!

Howdy everybody!

Well tonight is my last day in Galway, I'm actually both sad and glad
to be leaving. Glad because the most entertaining thing to do around
here during the day is getting lost. Once night time comes it can be
pleanty of fun if you like the bar scene. And I am sad because I met
alot of really cool people here. I know I shouldn't be too attached to
anybody knowing that both them and myself will be leaving to somewhere
elese in a few short days.

I've figured out one of the cheapest ways to live, find the grocery
store. on my second day here I found one and bought enough food to
feed me for a few days for less than 5 Euros. Pretty good after you
think that if I were to eat out at least once a day I'd be paying in
the upwards of 5-7 Euros a day, in addition to logding and other
expenses.

Pretending to be canadian is alot harder then one would think, I have
have Americans all around me asking me questions about Canada, rather
challenging questions that are rather specific to happenings in
Canada. I thin as long as I am in the vicinity of Ireland I'll stick
to being American, save the story for France.

Anywhodles, tomorrow I head south for a few days, more then likely
Killarny for 2 days then Cork for 3 or 4, after that I'm to head up
north, but I don't know where to stop or even when I'll be heading
that way.

Thats all for tonight,

Good-Bye

Here it is!

By the time many of you read this I will already be in Ireland, or on a plan to Ireland. I leave January 15th at 7:00 AM Pacific time.

As I sit here calmly writing this e-mail, sipping at my licorice tea I realize that I am barely ready to leave on this trip. Not mentally physically or emotionally. But I too realize that there is absolutely no way you can be totally ready for something so epic. Just that thought of almost guaranteed un-preparedness gives me a sense of relief. For if I'm not ready after over a year of formulating then who can be ready?

In the following months I will have several adventures and misadventures, both will produce equally entertaining stories, and I do not want any of you to worry in the least bit. I know out of everyone I am e-mailing right now there are family members, and almost complete strangers, but, you all know me, and have at least a vague Idea of who I am. Some of you I have known for longer then others, all of you I hope to know forever. As I travel I hope to hear from all of you, and I truly hope to send you each a more personal letter later, just you wait!

The hours of the count down roll by as I make final preparations so I must be off with myself for now, I'm looking forward to hearing from you, and above all things, don't worry.

With Love and Farewell,

=Logan, U.S.A.

So We Begin

This is my nifty Blog site that'll I'll be posting all my nifty travel stuff on.

Right now it may seem rather bleh and such, but that is largly due to the fact that I am still sitting in my house waiting for the 15th of this month to roll around, so I can board that plan and vomit due to shear nervousness... if I really do I'll take a picture for all of you folks.

I don't know how much I'm actually going to be able to update this, but please check at your own convenience, since I'll be posting at my convenience.
